Biophilia Tracker: Quickly Unlock Your Health Code
Exercise, lose weight. What are your plans to accomplish them? How much have you achieved after completing them? Get answers quickly with a simple quiz using Biophilia Tracker.
What daily habits will you change? How will you measure your success? We all support setting high standards, but sometimes it's the unexpected little things that can maximize your life and health. Try these ideas in 2022 to make you happier and healthier.
Eat less sugar. Let's talk about baby steps. Start at the grocery store, where you can choose what to put in your cart, family, and body. Don't shop on an empty stomach, and then mainly stay in the perimeter of the store where food tends to be fresh and whole. Read food labels to identify sugar content and buy less of your sugar weaknesses, such as soda, salad dressing, and sugary granola bars.
Get a good night's sleep. Sleeping less than seven to eight hours a night not only makes you irritable but also triggers caffeine cravings. "Sleep deprivation is linked to high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and depression," the Cleveland Clinic tweeted in the US.
News Twitter Chat. Make this year your year of perfecting your sleep hygiene: ditch your electronic devices an hour before bed, make your bedroom a dark, quiet sanctuary, and replace your worn-out mattress.
Work healthier. Step one: walk a few extra steps to the office, park far away, hop on the bus, or train a stop early and take a work-walking break into your day. Keep fruits, vegetables, and nuts on your desk to combat vending machine cravings and make takeout lunches instead of eating out—your waistline and wallet will thank you. Want to heal your immune system? Sanitize your keyboard and phone! You can also
use an Acupuncture Pen and Tens Acupuncture Machine at work to make your work life easier.
Sit less, move more. It's no news that sitting for long periods is unhealthy, but how exactly are you reducing your sedentary time? Start with advice from Eat+Run blogger Elisa Zied: always wear comfortable shoes, rethink your time with friends (drink more coffee while walking in the park; sit less and eat less), and track the number of minutes you sit each day so you have time to start gradually increasing.
